Nana Ama Agyemang Asante

Hey, welcome! I’m Nana Ama Agyemang Asante, an Asante Ghanaian woman and journalist. You might know me from co-hosting on Citi CBS. Before Citi CBS I created this blog as a space to speak about national issues freely, like saying the “unsayable” with my chest (Just kidding... mostly). But seriously, this is one of the places where I come to vent. Or to put it politely, it’s where I come to talk about the news and other national conversations without getting called into endless meetings. So, radio is on hold for now – it turns out thinking and writing about Ghanaian politics is as exhausting as actually living through it. And my podcast, Unfiltered? Taking a breather, because multitasking is a myth. I’m currently working on the Ghana Women Expert Project, counting the number of women interviewed in the media for their expertise. Oh, and I’m also studying theology, which means I am immersed in a world of questions Sunday School teachers refused to answer and sermons that annoyed me. That is why I no longer post as often as I used to, but I will be popping by to post some of my unfiltered thoughts on everything from life in Ghana to reflections on religion and theology.
